Addictive indie rock mixed with ska and pop, Idle Lies are building their name on the Liverpool indie scene and beyond with their unique sound. Their new single "Two's a Crowd" is out now! First played on BBC Radio Wales,  Adam Walton declared it “indie guitar music full of charisma from a band with stories to tell, not just spaces to fill”. With a huge riff, catchy vocal hooks, distinct lyrics and creative guitar melodies, "Two's a Crowd" has everything Idle Lies are all about, and is a guaranteed live favourite. It is also the band’s first release in their new 5-piece formation.

Formed in 2019 and influenced by The Smiths, The Specials, Arctic Monkeys and many others, they’ve achieved early success with their first few singles; attaining over 20,000 streams from all across the world. Alongside this they’ve had support from BBC Introducing, Amazing Radio, and global radio play including stations in Ireland, New Zealand, USA and The Philippines. They've also performed in prestigious venues across the UK like the Arts Club and the world-famous Cavern Club in Liverpool, where they won an audience-voted Battle of the Bands.

They have received a variety of comparisons to other artists, including Catfish and the Bottlemen, Sam Fender, The Lathums, Dire Straits, Thin Lizzy and several others. Their passion for so many styles of music and drive for creativity means they are constantly developing their sound in new and exciting ways, and Idle Lies have no plans of losing their energy to always stay interesting and unexpected.
